I’d like to tell a story,

One that might surprise you;

It’s a story I hide,

It’s one that I prefer to keep inside

I feel it’s time to raise my white flag,

Time to be truthful about what is fenced within this heart of mine

For a long time,

I have struggled to find this smile of mine,

As though it wishes to hide

I will no longer force a smile,

I’ll be as honest as I can for a while,

But before I lower my white flag,

My priority is restoring my true smile
